Do you understand the air flow patterns in your rooms and how they affect quality?

Evaluation of Air Patterns in Grow Room

Computational

Fluid

Dynamics

Are you experiencing issues in your room with poor ventilation patterns?

Is the air flow penetration into the beds not what it needs to be?

CFD models allows our engineers to study the air flow patterns in your room and run computer simulations to predict more efficient design.  CFD eliminates the trial and error and lost time finding a rooms best air flow design.

Through modeling we can accurately discover poor patterns and provide solutions for improved air flow patterns.  CFD Modeling can reveal insights that were not being considered.  Ask our team what CFD Modeling could do in your grow rooms.

We are glad to discuss your interest and explain the use of CFD to improve room conditions and final product quality.

Poor Bed Distribution

In this model you can see that the distribution of air flow to the lower beds is poor.  The air is hitting the 2nd bed from the top and then running down the outside of the beds.  Red indicates an area of high velocity air which can cause scaling of the mushroom cap.

Are you experiencing scaling and/or blotch in your grow rooms?

CFD can identify the solutions.

Transverse Section of a Grow Room

In this model it is easy to see that high velocity air and bad nozzle placement is allowing the air flow to move directly to the floor with poor distribution into the beds.  Nozzle and flow adjustments are warranted here.

CFD modeling can identify the correct nozzle location.

Cross Section

Cross Sections of a growing room offer yet another view into where air is going.  In this cross sectional view the air is running at high velocity over the top of the beds (red and orange) with poor flow into the top two beds (blue).  The lower beds have a better diversity of air flow with low spots on the ends (green) where the air escapes.
